AS3 logging class for Firebug

Firebug is one of my favorite debugging tools to use with flash. I have tried all of the flash based logging tools but I haven’t found one yet that I am comfortable using. I don’t think that they are quite there yet. I have written my own AS3 class that will log information to the firebug console window. Just throw it into your class root and use one of the static functions.

Make your own Flash CS3 panels

Extending the Flash IDE can be a huge timesaver if you have a lot processes that you do over and over with new fla’s. This gets a lot easier to do in CS3 and with help from gotoAndLearn(). He has a great video tutorial (along with many others) on how to extend flash by making your own unique panels. The tutorial walks you through the entire process from creating the jsfl scripts to compiling your own mxp file for distribution.
